I wanted something period-looking for my bike, but not period-dangerous as a 30 year old helmet would be. Bonus points for the not-so-subtle HRC colors.

That thing looks awesome. That’s the only Shoei I didn’t try out because I wasn t sure the flip down shade was worth the extra money.

But now I’m seeing a bunch at close out prices.

How do you like the fit?

It’s snug, especially around my cheek area, but comfortable. I wear glasses and it’s a bit tough to get them on properly , but that’s not really a complaint on the helmet. T his one was like $300 off msrp; still pricey but it’s worth it in my opinion.

I always wondered if it was possible to wear a motorcycle helmet with glasses as I wear glasses myself.

Doesn't the helmet squish the glasses up into your face?

Depends on the glasses, really. I used to have Ray Bans with bigger lenses and they didn’t work great with a helmet, but I have smaller and sturdier glasses now and I have no problems. I can even put the sun visor in my helmet down and it doesn’t touch them.
